DIANE KORDAS

“I BELIEVE JEWELLERY SHOULD BE BOTH CASUAL AND CLASSIC – BUT ABOVE ALL TIMELESS”

Diane Kordas designs the sort of jewellery that works as effortlessly on the red carpet as it does paired with jeans and a t-shirt. Sensual and unobtrusive but undeniably precious, Kordas has become the go-to designer for women who want their diamonds to be as subtle as a wink, without sacrificing craftsmanship or know-how.

American-born, London-based Kordas was educated in fashion at Parsons School of Design, but it was the jewellery she made for family and friends that continuously caught people’s eye. Within months of launching as a fine jewellery brand, her designs were snapped up by the world’s most sought-after stockists — from Net-a-Porter and Dover Street Market in London to Montaigne Market in Paris, Maxfield in LA and Joyce in Hong Kong — and coveted by some of the world’s most iconic women: Gisele Bundchen, Madonna, Natalie Dormer, Cindy Crawford, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jourdan Dunn and Saoirse Ronan to name a few.

Whether it’s her ID range of swiveling 18k golden tags with a message on each side; one revealed, one hidden, to her game-changing Amulette pendants — precious, dagger-like vials of gold to house the scent of the wearer or their beloved — Kordas continuously creates collections that hit that sweet spot between madly sought-after and enticingly mysterious.

Always set in 18k gold, Kordas takes a highly innovative approach to material and colour, incorporating leather, techni-coloured titanium, woven thread, coloured-diamonds and other precious gemstones into her work, whilst always retaining that elusive, cool-girl aesthetic from which she has made her name.
